In times of crisis..

Here's just some snapshots which I took in the hospital during the H1N1 period...

Upon entering the hospital, there would be a computer that does a thermal scan on you to see if you have a fever or not. Mask and a "fever-free"sticker will then be handed to you.

I have to say that the wearing of mask would make either make you look like a murderer or it would probably "kill" you because I feel it suffocates me more than anything.

Anyway, here's the queue where people first line up to register with their ICs.

Then after that, they move on to another counter to collect their pass as only 2 visitors are allowed in the ward.

I have been doing this so frequently that we felt so seasoned and professional going through the various steps just to go to the ward and because we went so often, I decided to collect their "fever-free" stickers!

So here's my mini-collection which I hope may be valuable 20-30 years down the road. Ha!

At the exit door of the hospital, a board is placed for visitors to stick their stickers on it so that they wont litter them elsewhere by sticking them at public places. And what's interesting is that, the guards at the door arranges the stickers into different pictures, probably just to fight their boredom of standing at the door. So here's one of the pictures which I manage to catch with my handphone camera.

All in all, I feel that Singapore has really handled the situation quite well by having so many procedures to help prevent the spread of virus. Through such crisis, you can really see the people being more united as they work together to help prevent the spread of the virus and by being more socially responsible.
