Lunch outing

Posted by Dawn at Friday, July 03, 2009
Today after work, we arranged to go Joo Chiat Sin Heng Claypot Bak Ku Teh for lunch. One of my colleagues recommended eating there.

We enjoyed ourselves as the food was great and the company was greater. It was quite fun. We also ordered as if the food was free as we kept topping up more and more dishes as it wasnt enough.

We had 2 extra large claypot of Bak Ku Teh (exceptionally tasty), braised pig trotters (so-so), claypot intestines (didnt like the stuff inside the intestines), claypot kidneys (which I liked it alot), salted vegetables (Cant go wrong), fried omelette (nothing great), you tiao (fried dough- order lots of this!), yam rice etc..

The Bak Ku Teh stock is really tasty and the waiters kept topping up the soup! However, some found it salty. But I loved it! The pork was also so tender.

One of my ex-colleague joined us for lunch as her school is quite nearby.

Look at all our satisfied faces! I will definitely be back again! Will bring CT the next time round!

Here's info of the place if you like Bak Ku Teh and stay around the east.
