Youth Day Holiday

Posted by Dawn at Monday, July 05, 2010
School holidays ate a great time to be with the family. Brought the kids to Punggol Park in the morning for a nice walk and to get in touch with nature. It was only about 10-15 mins bus ride away from our house.

There were a number of cats in the park which both my children loved. You know how people always say either you are a cat person (one who likes cats) or a dog person. Well, my children loves both. They are just fascinated with animals (though I am definitely a dog person).

I love the park because the surroundings is so tranquil and there's a playground for the kids to play. I love playgrounds with swings! Because even I could play with it! I love swings!

Then besides the kids having fun, we spotted lots of interesting things too! I felt I was giving science lessons to them as they saw things they do not usually see at our place.

Then the park has interesting trees to look at..

Then we spotted this tree which was uprooted where I then explained about the importance of having a good foundation-strong roots.

After a great morning walk and science lessons, I bought lunch back from the nearby coffeeshop. We took the double decker bus home-went up all the way to the top of the bus, sat right in front and enjoyed the view.

The kids had a blast!
