Food indulgence!

Posted by Dawn at Wednesday, September 03, 2008
CT will be coming home tonight at about 11pm from Malaysia. But today, my dad called me up and asked me if I would like to join them for dinner. So, I agreed since it is the holidays and CT isnt around.

Initially, dad wanted to take us to Chinatown for dinner but it was pouring and a little cumbersome since it is not fully sheltered from the carpark to the restaurant.

So, we thought of going to Parkway Parade for dinner.

We had Thai ala-carte buffet at the ground level. It is nothing to shout about since the standard isnt all that great...But it was enjoyable having so much selection on our table and moreover, this pregnancy has made me enjoy eating spice more! So, I really enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup!

Here's what we ordered!

Had Sukiyaki Beef Noodles. Ended up eating the beef and drinking the soup only.

What I enjoyed most was not only the tom yam soup, but also the thai fish cakes! I ate like 5 of them!

Even the octopus ball with lemongrass and mayonaise were nice. (Quite similar to the Japanese Takoyaki)

We also ordered crab fried rice, olive fried rice and fried pad thai noodles which was quite good.

Caleb was having his porridge which was prepared by my mum. As usual, Caleb has to be distracted while eating. So,that's why he is holding a spoon for him to hit the table with!

After a while, both Janine and Caleb got a little restless. SO my mum had to bring them out to run and play.

After dinner, I went to Pumpkin Patch kids shop to get for Caleb a black pants, while the 2 kids sat on "Thomas the train" kiddy ride.

Back at home, since it was still pouring, I stayed at my mum's place for a while longer as I didnt want to drive in such conditions.

So, here are the cousins "playing together".

When the rain subsided, we left but on the way home, the rain along TPE was so heavy that I could hardly see the cars in front. So much for waiting for the rain to subside at mum's place.

Anyway, thank God we reached home safely.
