Every week when the weekend is here, I would always think what are we going to do together as a family? Where can we go that is convenient for us to bring Caleb?
I suddenly thought of the new shopping centre which I have yet to visit- The Central at Clarke Quay. So, I suggested to CT and after church, we went home to drop our car and took LRT and MRT to Clarke Quay because its quite convenient by train. No need to change to any other line.
And I thought it would be pretty exciting to take Caleb on a train to see how he would react.
Here is Caleb waiting for Light Rapid Transit(LRT).
This is him in the LRT looking around...
I love the North East Line train because Punggol is the first/last stop which means I am guaranteed a seat. Check out the emptiness of the train!
Caleb was really very curious of what is happening around him..as he keeps looking around and listening out attentively for the announcements made over the sound system time and time again.
Here ie a video of Caleb making himself comfortable in the train by ignoring the people around him and doing what he likes to do...jumping!
The Central is connected to the MRT station. So you do not have to walk outside in the sun to get to the shopping centre.
Here is the Christmas tree outside the shopping centre. (As you can see, Caleb is sound asleep after all that jumping)
Here is the nice view just outside the shopping centre...
Then I caught a sight of the reverse bungee happening..
I really enjoyed the view..
Here is my helper, Vicky.
In the shopping centre, they had a moonriver show to celebrate this Christmas Season. I really wonder how they can skate in such a small stage.
It was about 1 plus pm already and we were starving. So, we went in search for food! I knew there were quite a number of Japanese shops in the shopping centre but instead, I was captivated by the foodcourt because of the view and the various choices- Thai, Jap, Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese, Western food etc. I had curry udon and soft shell crab. Yummy...
Here is our view during lunch.
After lunch, we had a slow walk around the shopping centre. A number of shops are still not opened but since the place is quite big, there are still a lot of shops to see...I dropped by a kid's shop and bought 3 clothings for Caleb. Spent only $50. I say ONLY..because its branded and usually one piece would cost about $30-50.
Here are more pictures of the shopping centre. Its quite wheelchair/kid friendly because of the lifts and ramps.
There is also a pasta waraku Jap shop which was quite eye catching because of the numerous plates placed outside as deco.
We ended our shopping or lunching experience with a Japanese green tea red bean ice cream. We sat by the river to eat our ice cream. The breeze was very nice.
Caleb was finally awake then...for me to snap pictures of him.
His eyes were squinting because he just woke up and probably because of the sunlight.
I had a very enjoyable day..Do make a trip there before it gets crowded. Right now, its pleasant to visit because its not crowded as not many people know about this place.
When we reached home, I excitedly tried on the pants which Vicky bought for Caleb's Christmas present. I also bought him a tee shirt but it is too big for him. So I tried on his pants, which is also too big for him but it was just for my own amusement...
Now, before next week comes, I better start thinking where else to bring him..
