These couple of days, I did not have time to spend with Caleb. I have Guides Camp from 8am all the way to 5 plus pm. I leave the house usually at about 620am (if I drive) or 645am (if I take bus) and reach home at about 6pm.
When the time I leave the house, Caleb is still sound asleep and when I come home, I would go home so tired and drained. But with whatever energy I still have left, I try to spend time with Caleb immediately and to play with him and bring him down to the park for a short while. Then I would bathe and have my dinner. Just before he sleeps, I would sponge bath him at about 830pm and he eat after that and sleep at about 9 plus pm.
So these few days, I only spend time with him for a couple of hours before he goes to sleep. That is why I have not taken many photos of him lately...
Have been so busy at work-rushing and rushing. In between the camp, I had meeting today to prepare for tomorrow's staff annual dinner since I am part of the organising committee. We had to wrap presents. So, I had to run both sides- manage the camp as well as attend the meeting. During the day, I also had to go out of school to buy foodstuff for the guides to eat. So, these few days, I have been rushing from place to place without stopping.
So when I reach home, my whole body especially my legs will ache.
Anyway, here are pictures of my girl guides sandwich making competition..
This group made a "kingfisher". See the crown on the fish? They made this because their patrol is called kingfisher.
The next picture shows a couple in love. The tomato in the middle is actually a heart.
This is actually a girl guides camp site. The tomato is the hut, the sausages on the cheese are the girl guides. There are trees around the campsite and the top and bottom with lettuce is actually the river. Very interesting. This group actually won the competition because of how it is relevant to guides.
The next one is just a normal looking sandwich with lots of ingredients and has a G.O on top which stands for Girl Guides Oriole as they are in Oriole ( a type of bird) Patrol.
Last but not least, the next patrol made a butterfly sandwich.
Quite interesting to see the girls participating and enjoying themselves. By the way, I made them eat up their own sandwiches after the competition so as not to waste the food.
Tomorrow last day of camp. Will be another busy day because at night, we have staff dinner.

I can fully comprehend how you feel about not hvg enough time with your child... I've only 10mins or so with each one of them every evening before they are tucked into bed... dilemma of a working mum... sigh
