This morning, brought Caleb to the clinic for his 2nd dose of 5-in-1 jab. One month ago, he was weighing in at 5.4 kg and today, his weight was 5.9 kg. He is considered light as compared to his peers who is born around the same month. But anyway, the nurse says the weight is quite ok. So I am glad...
Here is Caleb waiting for his turn at the clinic.
There was a time when a nurse walked out of the room and Caleb immediately stared at the nurse as his eyes were glued on her..sigh
We saw the doctor first as Caleb has some kind of rash which comes out pus behind his ear. So to make sure, they ask the doctor to check first before administering the jab. The doctor said the skin is probably due to after bath when we did not dry the area behind his ears properly. So when there is moisture, it is prone to react and have some kind of 'infection'. He also added on to say that it takes place in areas around the neck and armpits as well. So, must really dry his whole body after bath all the time. I didnt know this could actually happen. Well, I learn something.
Here is Caleb sleeping in the clinic after his jab. By the way, he didnt even cry at all when he had the jab. So proud of him! Way to go Caleb!
After the visit to the clinic, I went to Hougang mall for my weekend shopping at NTUC, then went to the library to return books and borrow more. Up to date, Caleb has read about 50 over books. Haha..Well to be accurate, he didnt really read but just stared. Had lunch there as well before heading home to bathe Caleb.
Caleb has been kicking more and more in his bath tub. Really active and playful little boy. Here is him after the bath...
In the early afternoon, he was quite alright-smiling and playing. But in the later part of the afternoon, he became really cranky which I think can be due to the jab. So I started taking out my camera to take some photos of him crying. This was then I realised the magic of taking photos-- Caleb would stop crying and stare at the camera. So here is Caleb staring at the camera just when I wanted to take his crying face.
So in the afternoon when he was crying, I told him," mummy going to take out the camera to take you crying ah..." And when I did take pictures of him, he would get amused and stop his crying. How interesting...
Caleb's fever started in the night when we were all out. The fever is just a reaction from the jab he had. Vicky kept monitoring his fever now and then throughout the night.
My church friend, Ophelia just gave birth to a baby boy in the beginning of Nov and so, we went to see him and at the same time, had bible study there with our church mates.
Here is her son, Kieran...whom I feel is the most alert newborn I have ever seen. Reason is since the time I saw him till I left (I stayed at their place for about 3 hours by the way), he was still wide awake!
Newborn is supposed to be heavy sleepers who sleep the whole time through. But this boy is really unique!
Looking at another newborn, and looking at Caleb now, it really reminds me of the days Caleb used to be so small and fragile. Now, he is tougher and much heavier. My boy is really growing up!
