Curtain fun

As a kid, I loved playing with the curtains. So I wasn't surprised at all when my kids enjoy playing with it now.I fully understand...How I wish I could join them as well ;)


Caleb was the mastermind as he started it off by influencing the rest to join him.





Here's the children having such a fun time together since they are at about the same age. Cant wait for Keane to grow up a few more months more to join them as well in the fun now that he just learnt how to walk.

Sightseeing in our very own country

Today, I felt like we were tourists as we went to take the new Circle MRT line from Dhoby Ghaut to Promenade. Both Caleb and Danielle love taking the train as they seemed so occupied in staring at the people in the train and those coming in and going out.


Here's Danielle in her neat and tidy hair cut which looked really sweet. Too sweet for my liking though.


And there's Caleb making all sorts of expressions with his face.Strange...



Frankly speaking, one of my favourite past time in the train is also to stare at people in the train as there's really all sorts of people in there and I always look at them individually and start to think what kind of occupation are they in just by their looks and dressing.

Anyway, in the Circle line train, we actually made our way to the end where we could see the train tracks in the tunnel. Felt like I was in a movie where the train was stalled and we are facing some sort of terrorist attack.



We dropped off at the Promenade Station which was near Suntec City. Then, we walked over to the Marina Bay Sands resort and the newly opened helix bridge.





There were platforms along the bridge where you can view the Singapore skyline.


We also walked into the Marina Bay Sands Resort where there was a casino. It was crowded as many were like us, just checking the place out. It was especially difficult since we had two kids in two prams.


We then made our way to Esplanade where we had our dinner at Gluttons Bay, a hawker centre at Esplanade.

After a quick dinner, we watched live outdoor performances and walked over to the Merlion as Caleb wanted to take a look at it!

The view was stunning.


We walked alot but it was really all worth it as the kids had fun staring at the merlion and running about.



By the time we reached home, it was already about 1030pm. So exhausted since we were out for almost 5 hours. Think the kids seemed more awake than me.


Anyway, we had a great time being tourists of our own country!

For a long while, I have been refusing to cut Danielle's hair. I have been pressured by CT and Vicky that I should cut it as her hair has been rather messy, especially her fringe. I feel with long hair, its more fun to play around with as I can use all sorts of various hair accessories on her.

Only Vicky knows how to tie it like that. I am really bad at such stuff.

Anyway, finally today, I decided that Danielle's hair fringe should be trimmed. It was so messy that I had to say THE word..."cut"...

Marianne's birthday party

Today, had BBQ at Changi Rise condo, celebrating Marianne's birthday. Was looking forward to it, despite still recovering from my cough and sore throat as it had been a very long time since I had BBQ food and I love BBQ food!!!


Here's strong god-ma carrying both of them!


The food was so delicious! "BBQ Wholesaler" never fails to deliver reasonable priced and great food.



Joshua, Marianne's hubby was the head chef. All thanks to him, the food was ready so quickly!

The lamb and steak was yummy! We even had pop corn over the grill! Here's all of us, waiting for the pop corn to be ready!




It was so delicious and worth the wait. Honey was added to it after it was ready.




Really enjoyed myself as the food and company was awesome. Had a great time catching up with my ex-church mates from Bedok Methodist Church. Thanks Marianne for inviting me! Cant wait for the next BBQ session! haha!

CT back from Shanghai

A couple of days ago, CT went to Shanghai for business and today, I decided to go with the children to the airport to pick CT up. I thought the space in the airport will be nice for the kids to run about.

Anyway, went there early for dinner.


Roamed about and even took the skytrain.





The kids were practically running about and climbing up objects.




I was tired just looking at them.

Was at the airport too early as we waited for CT for quite a while. Did all I could to entertain the children- bringing them to Macdonalds and pushing them around in the luggage trolley




We were at the airport for almost 3 hours as CT came out late.

Anyway, glad he is home. Welcome back!

Daytrip to JB

Went to Johor Bahru (JB), Malaysia with CT and my mother-in-law today. Left the kids at my parent's place as it will be a whole day and I was afraid the children will be tired. Moreover, Caleb has been coughing.

We picked my mum-in-law up at about 8am before driving to Malaysia. Our first stop in JB was to pump CNG. Dirt cheap. Costs only few Singapore dollars. The time was still early and so we went in search of a breakfast place.

I drove instead after out first stop and I was glad I did as between me and CT, I am less stressed behind the wheel when it comes to exploring new areas and not having a destination in mind. CT is more a task oriented person and needs to have a destination before he is confident and more relaxed when driving. I am comfortable driving everywhere even without a destination in mind. And probably because of that, I managed to settle down in a breakfast place which looks good on the outside because there were a number of people eating in it and everything about the place looks authentically nice-the right kind of dirtyness and enough people in it to consider it good. ;)

We ordered laksa, dried fishball bee hoon while my mother-in-law had fish soup noodles. We also ordered fried carrot cake. Everything was SO SO SO good...

Let me first talk about the laksa. The noodles was fat. A little like the 'lao shu fen' (bee tai mak)or Japanese udon which we have in Singapore but the texture was so good- not overcooked, very bouncy. There were so many ingredients in it as well!



Then we had dried bee hoon. The soup was very tasty and has a lot of ingredients.



Even my mother-in-law's soup has a few pieces of fish steak in it.


It was so enjoyable that I quickly saved my location in my GPS. Will share with you the coordinates for those who are interested to know.


The coffeeshop is called, "Restoran Hup Heng"



which is opposite this building-Perling Mall (I think..), just along the highway.


After breakfast, we made our way to Jusco @ Bukit Indah which just opened in Dec 2008. We spent the whole morning till afternoon there, shopping. I loved the place as it was huge so it seemed that there were not many people. They even have a children's playground inside the departmental store.



For lunch, we went to Nando's- a place which I have always wanted to go as my friend has been recommending it to me. Good news for Nando's fan as Nando's will be coming to Singapore soon!




The taste of the chicken is very well marinated. Their sauce is also quite special.

After lunch, we did our grocery shopping at the supermarket before heading back to Singapore.

There were many people buying lots of diapers!! And I mean LOTS!




Had a really great time!Can't wait to bring the children next time round!
