Chinese Dinner At Auckland

Posted by Dawn at Friday, March 14, 2008
After the trip to the town area, we met up for dinner with my grandaunt since I will be going back Singapore tomorrow. We had dinner at the Chinese Restaurant near where my grandaunt stays.

The food was so delicious, not because we missed Chinese food but it was truly tasty and up to standard!

We had fried kangkong with sambal belachan, homemade special fried tofu, venison in hot plate, chicken with prawn stuffing, complimentary soup and complimentary dessert- boiled waterchestnut with egg soup.

And this was the chicken with prawn stuffing. Yummm!

Here's me, CT and my grandaunt, Marcelle

Since it was our last night in Auckland, CT and I walked back to our motel after dinner and on the way back, we stopped by Auckland's best fish and chips (as it was stated on the signboard). So, despite how full we were, we went to the shop to try it!

They were actually closing for the night but we managed to go there just in time for them to cook for us as I told them that we wanted to try before we fly off tomorrow. So, the Chinese couple in the restaurant were really nice to take out their fish to fry just for us. I ordered a fried snapper and 2 fried scallops!

It was quite nice! We ate it back in our motel as we watched TV. Enjoyment!

I will really miss NZ when we go back Singapore but then again, I miss Caleb back home too!
