Packing to go for the weekend holiday

This morning, went back to sleep again and woke up at 830am. As usual, went out to buy newspapers and read. After that, I drove out with Gek Teng to Bel Air Mall. I wanted to go take a look as it was the first mall to be opened ever since the hurricane. I went to Macs to get a hash brown as I had not eaten fast food for some time already. Saw a long queue of cars lined up at Shell Station just outside my house. There were about 20-30 cars in the queue.

Most of the gas stations are not opened..so there is a long queue whenever one station in our area opens. There is a major gas shortage in our area,so gas prices shoot up. I stopped the car for Gek Teng to take some pictures of the area as she has not taken pictures of the damage yet. We have not experienced a hurricane before or seen such damage..so we had to take pictures to remember such an event.

Went home and toasted bread for breakfast. After that, did my usual morning stuff- checking emails, writing my blog, watching TV..

During lunch time, made spaghetti with luncheon meat. Very filling. I just needed to finish my spaghetti, so I had that for lunch. Then, packed my luggage for my trip to Orlando. Leaving tomorrow morning on the 7am flight. Pretty excited. However, the weather forecast seem to indicate showers in Orlando for the next few days..so crossing my fingers and praying the weather will be good.

At about 2 plus pm, went with Gek Teng to check for mails..about 5 mins walk from our place.

Cooked mushroom dish with 'hair' for dinner tonight. My mum used to make it for me and now, I cook for my husband. Ha.. It was my first time cooking and it tasted good. Added raw lettuce as well. Forget to add dried scallops..but it was still ok. Fried finish the luncheon meat too for dinner.

After dinner, I volunteered to wash the dishes and told CT to bathe. Usually, he does the washing up but I wanted him to take a break since he was still not feeling too well. So, I washed the dishes and took out the trash. I enjoyed it.

Since we have watched finished our HK serial VCDs, we went on to a new set of VCDs. We watched the VCDs my brother brought over. It is a comical swordman kind of show starring Dicky Cheung and Nicholas Tse. Quite funny..I enjoyed it.

Shall rest early tonight since I have to wake up at 515am tomorrow. Will leave house at 545am.

Will not be blogging for some time. Returning from Orlando on 6 Sept, Tuesday. Will write once I come back!
