Learning like a sponge...

Now that Caleb is 18 months, I feel he is really learning new words each day. There would be a day that he suddenly spurts out a new word from his mouth and shocks everyone. If any parent asks me how did he do it and what's the trick? I really dunno... I could only give you maybe this and maybe that- Maybe its how we communicate with him right from birth, talking to him and singing with him? Maybe its the books he has been reading? Maybe its just from the genes? Ha.

So far he has learnt to say and understand these words-
1) Guitar
2) Boom boom (which means drums)
3) Car
4) Star
5) Moon
6) Door
7) Window
8) Thank You
9) Mirror
10) Letter "A"
11) Letter "B"
12) Letter "O"
13) Letter "R"
14) TV
15) Hua (means flower in chinese)
16) No
17) Clock
18) Nana (which means banana)
19) Egg
20) Gong Gong (means grandfather)
21) Po Po (means grandma)
22) Ah-ma
23) Keelia (my sis-in-law's daughter)
24) Papa
25) Mama
26) Tissue
27) Two
28) Letter "E"
29) Korkor
30) Baby
31) meimei

These are some words that I can remember off hand.. There are still some more words he understands but just do not know how to say it out. Anyway, everyday, we just talk to him, keep repeating all that he knows already and teach him more words so that one day, he would surprise us but saying it out.

There was a period of time when he would always say "guitar" when he wakes up as he wants me to show him pictures of guitar on my computer.
