Each time I look at other babies whose hair just seem to remain the same length as when they were newborn, I start to think how glad I am that Caleb is not like that. His hair grows fast and I quite like the wavy bit at the side of his hair.
Anyway, it was time for his haircut once again as it was getting out of control.
As usual, we would lay newspaper below his bumbo seat which he would be seating on. Yup, at one year old, he still fits in that seat, which most of my friends' babies cant fit into that seat at only 3-6 months. But I have to admit, it is getting tighter.
CT was sitting in front of Caleb to distract him. We have to keep giving him diversions so that he wont focus on the scissors that is trimming his hair.
At the end of it all, we didnt cut very short as usual, but just kept his hair style neat.
We had to sprinkle powder all over him to remove his hair before he goes into the bath tub.
In the evening, we took a bus to Compass Point and at that time, they were having a Colgate fair that offers free dental service. So, we brought Caleb there.
Result: Impossible to bring an active one year old baby to the dentist who still doesnt understand what you are trying to say as he refuses to open his mouth. Oh well...cant force as the more we do, the more noise he would make.
So in the end, CT, Vicky and myself went to get our teeth checked at the same time. Just for the fun of it!
At night, we walked to a coffeeshop at Punggol, which was about 15-20 mins walk from our place. Quite a distance I must say. But it was a nice and pleasant walk since there are so many parks and trees in Punggol, with not much of traffic.
We decided to eat cze char. We ordered 4 dishes- bean curd claypot, spinach, prawn wrapped in fried bean curd skin
and pork rib with special sauce which was delicious.
After that, we had a nice walk back as the sun was setting and we were also rushing to go home to catch the Table Tennis Finals- China Vs Singapore. Well, we all know what the result would be but just to see how much fight Singapore can put up.
Nevertheless, congratulations to the Singapore Table Tennis Team for making us proud by getting a silver in Olympics! A great achievement for a small country like ours.
