Holiday..yay!

Posted by Dawn at Sunday, August 10, 2008
The day after National Day, Vicky was on leave again. She took leave not long ago but this time round, she told me that she wanted to take leave to go out with my parent's helper as Lin would be leaving. So, I allowed her.

Surprisingly, Caleb was a very good boy that day. He slept with me and CT the night before and allowed me to pacify him and put him to sleep. CT was also a great help in taking care of Caleb and playing with him. And when it was time for Caleb to sleep, he actually slept! He fell asleep in my arms...that was probably the first time since he was probably an infant.

Usually, Caleb will be really cranky when Vicky comes home from her leave in the evening as he would be tired and hungry. But today was different. He was a happy and satisfied baby! Thank God..

I told Vicky that Caleb cant sleep with me at night already as he keep turning and tossing- moving too much. The bed has no space for him to do that. I was practically keeping so still the whole night and confined to a small space at the edge of the bed. Guess I can only sleep with him when I am not pregnant. But truthfully, despite the tiredness I get from Caleb coming over to sleep with me at night, there is a bond which was built.

Anyway, the next day was a school holiday and CT chose not to work by taking his off-in-lieu as well. So, we went first to Hougang Mall to the library when it first opened at 11am. I like the Hougang Library as the books and new and nice. So Caleb gets to read better quality books instead of the ones that are already tattered and in bad condition.

After that, we went for lunch at this Italian place in a coffeeshop in Buangkok, which was nearby. It was situated in a place where there were new HDB flats. Very clean and nice. They have branches elsewhere in Singapore as well and I enjoyed the pasta and pizza which we ordered.

Total cost for a large pizza and a plate of pasta was $20. Just right for the 3 of us!

Was using CT's camera phone to take. Ordered a prawn with iceburg lettuce pasta for the price of only $4.50 as it was a National Day promotion for all pastas. We received their pamphlet, so that was what prompt us to go down to try. The pasta was delicious. The sauce was amazingly tasty!

And here's their house specialty pizza.

Caleb also had his share of fun at the coffeeshop and he, too tried the pasta and the pizza!

It's always nice to go to a new place to try the food and in the end,the food meets your standard as we have yet another place to go to if we are bored of usual hawker food!
