So anyway, I went with a few colleagues to Fassler. Went in two cars. It was all the way in Woodlands Terrace. I bought lots of stuff! Altogether costing $116! I bought 4 packets of unagi (eel), black cod fish, 1/2 kg of salmon sashimi, scallops, concentrated soups like mushroom, clam chowder, seafood chowder and even lobster bisque. I also got 1 kg of salmon belly for teriyaki pan fry. Its the best part of the salmon as its tender and oily! haha. Also got tempura hoki fillets. Hoki is a fish found in the NZ waters. The Macdonalds in NZ uses Hoki fillets for their fish burgers.
It was a real experience going there as we had to enter the cold room to do our shopping.
I even bought stuff for my mum and sister-in-law who placed their orders.
My colleague sent me home as it was on the way back to school. I asked Vicky to come down with the pram so that I can put all the foodstuff in it. Haha..I love Caleb's pram as it has served us well. Moreover, it was passed down from my ex-colleague who gave it to me.
Anyway, here's the fresh salmon sashimi which I ate that very night!
There were so many pieces and layer of sashimi that I only managed to eat the top layer.
I know I am not supposed to be eating sashimi since I am pregnant. But I guess it must be kind of safe in Singapore to consume raw fish. And moreover, hey, it is nicer to eat real salmon than to pop fish oil tablets.
