Today is my wedding anniversary and also the same date where CT and I became officially boyfriend and girlfriend as well.
I always remember vividly how on the 8 Aug 2003, CT waited for me outside my school, brought me to his house and kneeled down with a bouquet of sunflowers (yes, I love sunflowers) and asked me to be his girlfriend.
He purposely chose this date as it is not only easy to remember but also because its a half day for me and the next day, is also a holiday since its National Day.
And who knows one year later after dating, we got married on 8 Aug 2004.
I am proud that CT is my first and last boyfriend. That is exactly how I planned it to be. When I was in college, I already thought to myself that if I were to date, the guy should be my future husband and I would not want to date too long as its pointless.
Anyway, CT has been a great husband and father to this family. There are definitely ups and downs in our relationship but we manage to stay together and look past each other's mistakes as we grow in love and respect for each other because of God's love in us.
And for now, with Caleb around, it doesnt mean that our love for our spouse is being compromised or shared. But our capacity to love has increased, thus making us a more wholesome person.
So as for Caleb, I love spending time with him and I would definitely make use of whatever opportunity I have to do that. So, every time when there is a celebration in school, Caleb would come to my school as Vicky would take the bus and meet me in my school at about 11 plus (the time when Caleb wakes up from his nap).
So today, we had National Day Celebration and all staff and students have been encouraged to wear red. Caleb sure didnt want to be left out!
My colleagues love playing with Caleb and they would do all sort of stuff just to amuse him and carry him.
At about noon time, we walked to ehub to wait for CT as he is taking half day off. Planned to take Caleb to the indoor playground while waiting for CT.
However, the indoor playground is ridiculously expensive and as Caleb is still young, it is not worth paying 20 over bucks for entry to play all the various stations.
So instead, we went to Coffee Bean, ordered a brownie and sat down. Met my colleagues there as well. CT arrived close to 1pm and we went to the next door HK cafe for lunch. Been there once before and they sell quite decent food. However, the service is really bad. The last time I went, they forgot to serve us a dish we ordered and this time round, they keep serving us other table's food. This will probably be my last time going there.
Anyway, CT hasnt been to Ehub Downtown East..so that was why we decided to go there.
We ordered dumpling soup noodles, fried rice, pork chop bun, char siew bao and drinks. Costs us $30 over dollars for 3 of us. Not very cheap for such simple dishes.
After lunch, brought Caleb to take a look at the bowling centre since he loves balls. He wanted to carry the bowling ball but of course, he cant.
Went home after walking around.
As for dinner, CT prepared a Japanese meal for me. We had sushi! Ingredients that was prepared was salmon sashimi, fried egg, pickled vegetable that is placed in sushi, miso soup, unagi and cucumber. I actually forgot my salmon skin which was sitting in the fridge. Wanted to deep fry it and add to the sushi. Sigh.
Anyway, here's our dinner!
As for Caleb, he had a Japanese meal as well. Steamed a small piece of salmon for him, with Japanese rice and few scoops of miso soup to add to the rice.
We really enjoyed ourselves making our very own sushi while catching the Beijing Olympics. It definitely beats having to spend money outside to have a romantic dinner with CT.
Sorry, no pictures of the sushi we made as each time we made it, it gets eaten up very quickly. Too yummy!
