Cry baby

Posted by Dawn at Monday, October 01, 2007
Caleb has been crying a lot lately. I think its because he is always hungry now that he is growing. If you noticed, he has put on quite a bit of weight already. He is about 6 kg now-almost 3 times his birth weight, just in the span of 2 months plus. Wow.

Though he cries more, he also talks more. So, it is a good balance for me to stay saint. If not, I will prob go deaf hearing him cry whole day because he cries into my ear when I carry him upright.

This afternoon, I looked into his wardrobe and decided to try clothes on him to see if he can now fit into. So, I tried out his pants.. Initially, he was quite receptive and was a good sport in being my model..

But after a while, he started wailing..

I actually wanted to try one more pants on him but because of his continuous crying, I waited till night to try again..

So I waited till night after his sponge bath, I tried his pyjamas pants which used to be quite big on him. So, I thought it would fit now..

But I was wrong, it was still loose..

However, not as loose as when he was 5 weeks old. Here is the picture taken then..

Each time he cries, at the back of my mind, I always wonder if he got his crying from me. I used to be called a cry baby when I was young. Any small little things would just spark off a crying streak. I really hope Caleb will not be like me.

After sponge bathing him, he was crying a lot. So, I carried him and went to my balcony area and heard Christian music from the funeral downstairs. This is my first time hearing music from a Christian funeral from where I stay. I have attended Christian funerals before but have never heard the music from my own house since I never stayed in HDB before marriage. So, it was nice when I went to the balcony and heard them singing, "Potter's Hands" by Hillsongs. And so, I started singing to Caleb and he kept quiet. I was singing prayerfully to the Lord and asked Him to guide me, lead me and walk beside me as I raise Caleb up. So, I had a great moment with the Lord this very night with Caleb sleeping in my arms as I sang...
