The day of our lives

Posted by Dawn at Thursday, October 04, 2007
In the daytime, Caleb is usually placed in the living room sofa to sleep. Here is his "daybed"..with lots of safety barriers.

Today marks the day of Caleb's first squeal of delight. I only heard once and that's it. I was quite surprised...at least something different from him.

Here is his belly button where some have commented that it looks nice. I cant tell whether its nice or not. Why dont you judge it yourself?

After lunch, went to visit my colleague, Josephine who gave birth to a baby boy (on 18 Aug 2007)-one month after Caleb was born. I was very interested at how the 2 boys would react in seeing each other.

The funny thing was that when Jo opened the door, she greeted Vicky by her name. Just yesterday I visited my friend Doris at her house and she too greeted Vicky by name. It is funny because Vicky hardly know them but my friends seem to know her very well because of my blog-how I always mention about Vicky and the things she does. So, Vicky was rather surprised..haha.

Well anyway, when the 2 boys met, it was an orchestra as Caleb was taking the lead. He was crying for a while and shortly later, Jed joined in. But it wasnt that bad. There were times Caleb was quiet and playing with his mobile toys in the bouncer.

After they settled down, I took a picture of them.

Jed was behaving himself so well. He was so still and quiet while Caleb was so active-kicking and moving his hands with different kinds of expressions on his face. Look at the difference in their size though Caleb is one month older, he looks tiny. But after carrying Jed, Caleb is still heavier. How interesting.

Josephine made for me a nice family stamp..check it out! Its interesting how Josephine has predicted what gender my kids will turn out and how many of them wear specs from the drawing.

She is so talented. You can check out her flickr album for the numerous designs she did and be awed by her talent!

After visiting, went home and Vicky trimmed Caleb's fingernails. I have yet to do that on Caleb as I can hardly see the difference of the before trimming and after trimming...and I am also afraid of cutting his skin since he keeps moving so much.

And finally a shot of his dimples...(which he obviously got from CT)

Tonight for dinner, we had all new dishes. Vicky read from my recipe book and wanted to try this chicken dish..

So she followed the instructions and came up with this! I was quite impressed by how she takes the initiative to cook new dishes and has the heart to improve herself by experimenting.

We also had fried goose meat and cream of corn soup (asian style) for dinner which I prepared.

Weather tonight was rather hot. So at night after sponge bathing Caleb, I didnt put on his shirt and pants as he was perspiring. Then I passed to CT to carry and I caught a sight which I had to draw out my camera to take as both men were topless.

Here's Caleb drinking and perspiring even being topless. Check out his curls..

I do not know if its the weather but Caleb has been very cranky. He can cry continuously non-stop. My friend says it might be the growth spurt. I dunno..I just hope it will pass soon.
